We recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance for local Dar es Salaam moves. For international or upcountry relocations, we suggest contacting us 4-8 weeks ahead to allow ample time for customs documentation, shipping arrangements, and detailed planning
Our quote is based on several factors: 1) Volume (the size and quantity of items), 2) Distance (local, upcountry, or international), and 3) Services required (packing, crating, disassembly, storage, etc.). We provide a free, no-obligation survey (in-person or virtual) to ensure our quote is as accurate and transparent as possible.
Transit times vary significantly. An international shipment by sea freight can take between 6 to 12 weeks depending on the destination and vessel schedules. This time includes local port handling, customs clearance, and final delivery. We provide tracking updates throughout the process.
Key documents usually required include: a valid Residence Permit/Visa, Packing List/Inventory, Bill of Lading (or Air Waybill), and a Tax Identification Number (TIN). Requirements are subject to change by Tanzanian Customs; your Move Consultant will guide you through the exact, up-to-date paperwork.
